Bodelwyddan Castle has some great things to. You maybe spoilt for choice.
Just returned celebrating a 2 day birthday treat at Warner’s Hotel at Bodelwyddan and must praise the warm Welsh welcome and friendly staff during our stay. Great choice of food in the restaurant and our waitress met our every need, the entertainment staff where excellent and very enthusiastic. Our signature room was excellent, the only down side was the radiator would not turn down making it to hot to sleep, but cannot praise reception enough they contacted the maintenance team who swung into action and replaced a faulty thermostat valve to the radiator an excellent service. Bodelwyddan Castle has a great atmosphere with lovely gardens and surroundings, all and all a great Warner’s experience and looking forward to returning for a longer stay to enjoy all the facilities on offer.
No pressure, just a team of friendly staff members who offer a varied entertainment programme with activities for everyone who wants to take part and lovely grounds to enjoy if you prefer a quieter break.
This was our fourth visit to Bodellwyddan Castle and we have already booked a longer break there in the summer. It is ideally situated for exploring the beautiful scenery and pretty villages that North Wales has to offer .
We enjoy staying in one of the larger Garden Lodges with sitting room and bedroom separated by the bathroom and two wardrobes. There is a well stocked hospitality tray and small fridge with fresh milk supplied and space for the wine that comes as part of the Signature upgrade. Comfortably furnished throughout the lodges make a luxurious holiday home but are a few minutes walk from the main hotel . That might be a problem for some guests but, for our particular circumstances, it is worth that small inconvenience to enjoy the extra space . Our only criticism is that, although every lodge has its own allotted parking space the gremlins seem to have got into the allocation system and ,having stayed in three different lodges, we have found we always have to walk to our car park past spaces much closer to our lodge but allocated to someone else. No problem if you are young and fit but ,if you have mobility problems,an unnecessary inconvenience.
As always the food and service are of excellent quality with friendly waiting staff in the restaurant and a choice of waiter service a la carte meals or self service buffet.
The evening entertainment programme starts with pre-dinner music in the Atrium and I would like to give special mention to musician Matthew Deacon who played several instruments, including saxophones, and a fantastic repertoire.
There are films shown in the Mulberry Lounge, Skyfall and Bohemian Rhapsody on this weekend , and a different programme each night in the Cabaret Room.
Add to this the spa and leisure area with pool, steam room etc there really is something for everyone and it is up to the individual to get involved or just take it easy and enjoy your break your way.
