We stayed on a 3 night break in a Garden Lodge room ,these are fantastic and to be honest wouldnt stay anywhere else now. The food was good except for the veg choice..peas and carrots everyday and we had to ask for these on a daily basis as your food is served to your table and doesn't contain much veg at all .The choices were good and the food was hot .All the staff were pleasant except for a very abrupt receptionist .Every where seemed to be very clean and good social distancing in place.,never did we feel compromised .The evening entertainment was ok ..some good some bad but the best was done in these trying times .We actually preferred the 60 % occupancy too and the food being served, hopefully this will continue once Covid had gone !
First time stay, very pleasant
Been to several Warners, first time here, very attentive and polite staff in every area, extensive grounds, very good food, an eclectic choice of dishes, no self-service being the corona bug season, everything (including drinks in the bar) is table service, comfortable, large room, handy car park, a porter will transfer luggage on request if need be, if (as I) you are single, and need a double-bed, it may be wise to ask for one before arrival, as I was allocated a single one, but it was changed to a double, which I was grateful for, no live performances just yet, but enjoyed the filmed shows, Sabattini and Sutcliffe (Opera standard singers), Sing-baby-sing, a Stylistics tribute group, and Phantom of the Opera at the Royal Albert Hall, will stay again in the future........
we booked a weekend break booked a royal room but had a slight problem so they upgraded us to a garden lodge. It was fabulous. Although no live entertainment we still had a great time as entertainment was on the screen. Food was amazing and you didn't feel afraid as social distance was in place felt very safe lots of sanitising stations. Have already booked for thoresbury hall, but im definitely going back to bodwellyn castle. The staff did a great job to make your stay enjoyable .highly recommend.
This is the 3rd time we have visited this hotel, the last visit being 6 years ago there have certainly been some fabulous improvements. Check in from your car was quick with directions to the car park easy to follow. Our room 616 in the Williams Village was nicely decorated, very clean with a large claw foot bath and a separate shower. This was the same room we stayed in 6 years ago so knew it had been refurbished. Due to Covid 19 it's table service only in the bar, we had barely sat down before a waiter came to take our order. Service was excellent at each visit to the bar which was fairly frequently! All members of staff were friendly and helpful, particular mention to Liam what a lovely young guy who genuinely loved his job. Meals were much improved with table service. We are late diners - 8.00 and sometimes some items on the menu during buffet service are not available , not the case this time everything we requested was available and always served hot. One little niggle, the wine order from the bar was always late and starters served and on one occasion eaten before it arrived. Nothing but praise to be given the way Warners have adapted their way of working due to Covid. Entertainment was excellent particularly the 'Silent Disco' what brilliant fun take the headset off and listen to the singing!! There was something going on each evening in lounge and the cabaret room. There is no live music but artists who have previously appeared at Warners are played on a big screen.
