Sunday Dinners

This place is amazing. The rooms are spotless and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. We had a signature room in the Llewellyn hall with a patio. Every morning we watched the squirrels and rabbits through our patio doors bouncing around on the grass...Lovely to watch 😊 The food is excellent with a good choice on the menu and all the staff are very pleasant and welcoming. Entertainment was good so was the spa with a lovely warm swimming pool. The grounds and gardens are very well planned relaxing to walk around. I came here for my 60th birthday and this was my first Warner break and I am so happy that I came.

My husband and I stayed for 7 nights for a birthday holiday. It was our second visit, and everything was great. We enjoyed the tour of the grounds and gardens, we visited Bodnant gardens nearby and took the toll road on the great Orme. We had a garden room, very comfortable and overlooked pools and well laid out gardens. Food was excellent and staff very well trained, well mannered, and always smiling. Nothing was too much trouble, for anyone. We enjoyed a film or two, met some like minded people for a chat, all in all a great time. Thanks hope to be back next year.

The hotel is built in & around a stunning castle in a beautiful area. We are in our late 50’s & felt quite young!! We guessed the average age to be around 65. We asked the barman if there were weekend themes that might attract a younger crowd but he said most guests are ‘older’ whoever is performing. We attended a ska weekend. By 10.30 most guests had retired to bed!! Breakfast time was a bit too early for us 8am-10am & dinner was 6pm-8pm which was a bit of a rush. Evening entertainment started at 9pm & was in a separate room. For the evening entertainment the seating was allocated which we didn’t like. We made friends with a couple our age but had been allocated different zones so we’re unable to sit together despite being surrounded by empty seats!!
We asked to do archery, crossbow & rifle shooting on the day we arrived but most slots were booked already. We did manage archery & crossbow. Instead we used the hotel as a base & toured around the area.
The resident staff put on a show on the Saturday night which was dire! Considering they were professional entertainers it was pretty poor. The bar & waiting staff had more energy & enthusiasm.
We booked a signature garden suite which was AMAZING, well worth the extra money & the best part of our stay.
The food is buffet style or you can order from the specials menu. All the food was fantastic & service was excellent!
To summarise Bodelwyddan castle is set in a beautiful area in a stunning part of the world & useful for exploring the area. If you like getting up early & sitting around doing quizzes with old people then this is the place for you!

Stayed in a ground floor garden lodge suite which was fantastic very modern and contemporary and in a lovely quite area of the grounds but very near to the main attractions. All the staff are very helpful, polite and work very hard. The swimming pool was so warm it was like getting into a bath and there was plenty of things to do such as archery and shooting. There was entertainment on every night and the entertainment staff did a medley of ABBA hits and they were brilliant and very professional. The food is very good, plentiful with lots of choices. We will definitely be visiting again in the very near future. The good part too is it’s adults only.

First time at a Warner hotel and this one is beautiful. The food was wonderful with a huge variety. All staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We only stayed for two nights and didn't experience the entertainment so i cannot comment on this.
The Signature room was lovely but i do have a slight criticism of the cleanliness. Our room hadn't been vacuumed before our arrival as there was a raisin on the floor (which we hadn't had) and a plastic bag down between the twin beds. Also some personal belongings from the previous occupants were left behind in the bedside cabinet. There was also powder (talcum presumably) on the bathroom floor. Despite this the room was very acceptable and otherwise clean. We slept very well with no noise or disturbances. The gift shop was well stocked and very reasonably priced. This hotel deserves a 5* rating.
