Bodelwyddan Castle Warner Hotels has short breaks to suit all tastes including Drinks Inclusive breaks.
The staff are pleasant and helpful, the food is excellent with enough variety to please the fussiest of eaters, the rooms are clean, the surroundings are beautiful and there is a full and varied itinerary, so you need never leave the grounds. However, the surrounding countryside is easily accessible for the more adventurous. It is so quiet here. We came for a relaxing break and this fitted the bill perfectly. We couldn't fault it.....though some people can find fault with anything!
We had a great weekend everyone friendly, excellent entertainment. The weather was really bad but it didn't spoil it at al. .I have Type 1 Diabetes I explained that I needed different to what was on the menu, My starters and sweets were made separately and they were excellent.
Very high standard of furnishings. Good bed. Excellent blackout curtains. Loved the ambient lighting and heated mirror in bathroom, and the robes. Temple Spa toiletries were great. Tasty biscuits and fresh milk in a SILENT fridge was brilliant. Food very good with wide choice of self service or brought to the table. Loved having fresh pancakes made in front of you at breakfast. All singers for evening entertainment were excellent. Not a cheap holiday but everything was of good quality.
I have just returned from a 5 day break in this hotel. We stayed in a garden lodge room with stunning views over the grounds. The room was excellent with a very large bed, sitting room and large bathroom with powerful shower.
All public areas were clean and comfortable, the dining room large and spacious. Everything was well decorated.
Food was unbelievable with so much choice. Every themed dinner gave 4 options from that theme plus many other options to suit everyone's taste. Breakfast was again excellent with a wide range of foods to choose from.
Staff were excellent and friendly, they could not do enough to help. Particular mention to our waitress Jodie who looked after us and with whom we shared a joke or two.
In summary a brilliant hotel I cannot recommend highly enough.
I happened upon Boddelwyddan, and stayed to tour the grounds and its remarkably-preserved gardens and WWII practice trenches. During my brief visit, I encountered a delightful lady, Caroline, who works there as a housekeeper. She was incredibly welcoming, and took the time to give me a brief history of the castle and point me towards some of its public, external attractions. An amazing experience.
